PANIC BUTTON is a horror/thriller feature film that I worked on as co-writer and co-producer with John Shackleton of Movie Mogul Ltd. I worked with John on developing the story and later worked on the script with director Chris Crow and horror writer Frazer Lee. It was a highly collaborative effort, with everyone having their own real-life social network experiences to weave in to the story.
In my co-producer role, I prepared the investor presentation that won the funding, led teams, collaborated with professionals and monitored progress in each stage of production. I also created the marketing materials including trailers, posters, press packs and website. It was always our goal to create an intense, contained horror/thriller that could be achieved on a small budget, but have a big impact.
The film’s world premiere took place at Film4 FrightFest 2011 in The Empire, Leicester Square, where it played in front of around 1000 people. It is now being distributed worldwide by Kaleidoscope and has received praise from Sky Movies, Empire, Ain’t It Cool News and Little White Lies amongst many others.
